Hello everyone!
I hope you’ve all been well in my quiet period. Things have been very busy for me since October when I had to close things down. Unfortunately, I am still having to assist my family with some things that will be coming up soon that I will not be looking forward to. That being said, I will be opening up some commission slots to help generate some income towards that within the next month, as my to-do list is pretty much finished!
The new year brings in new opportunity, and with 2026 officially being the 10th year Typhoon Manga has been a business I have some plans that I would like to roll out. First of which is the 10th anniversary of the Typhoon Ball, which will be held in July this year to commemorate the first time the Ball was ever released! It will feature original poses, backgrounds, and redesigns of the original dresses, as well as new stuff of course~ With 10 years of Typhoon Ball being a HUGE mile stone, I am thinking of pulling from all the events and preparing a lavished event. If you have any recommendations on what you would like to see for the event, be sure to comment!
Another thing to touch on is I am planning on doing an 11K bash, similar to the 1K bash held back in ye-wee-days. We are about 500 watchers away from that, so it will not be too long until that milestone is also reached! Similar to the 1K bash, there will be exclusive YCH’s released where people can get their characters drawn with Typha, this time in different outfits she has been in over the years (minus all the Typhoon Ball outfits, that one will be reserved for the 10th anniversary of TB). Along with giveaways, activities, and streams, the 11K bash is sure to be a fun time! If there is anything you would like to see happen with this event as well, be sure to leave a comment for this too!
Some more exciting news is that I am very close to releasing Blood Maid Volume 2, within the next 2 months or so. The production of chapter 10 is moving along very smoothly and I am expecting to be sending everything to the print presses by next month! It has been a long wait, but the time that I have been allowed to take and focus on getting projects done has really helped get things moving again and I am very excited for it. The detail looks amazing and I cannot wait for fans to read the new chapters! The Kickstarter will be updated and most likely re-launched so that people can support and get exclusive collectibles for the first run before I do book signing events with my distributor.
Given how long Typhoon Manga has been around, I am really thinking it is time for the website to go through a total overhaul. I know I have been saying I would update the website for a while but given how much of a project it’s going to be I’ve honestly been putting it off. So, if you are a frequent visitor of the site, expect some changes soon that will streamline the site and hopefully make things a little more visually user friendly. If you have any suggestions that you would like me to implement as I rebuild everything, please do not hesitate to let me know, as I would love to hear from you! I plan on taking inspiration from other sites to rebuild how my shop looks while also trimming down other parts of my website that are no longer necessary and that have become obsolete (mainly due to my website provider phasing out certain widgets).
The YCH club has been rather quiet during this period of work catch-up focus, and I truly appreciate everyone’s patience with that! I do have quite a bit of poses that I have sketched up that will be used for the next YCH drop when the time comes. That being said, the last voted on YCH theme isn’t quite seasonally appropriate (Cat Witches) so I will most likely be sending out another poll to decide on the new theme when the time comes. I am thinking it will probably be about March 2026 is when YCH’s will start to roll out again, however if things get smoothed out before hand it could potentially be sooner! Be sure to keep an eye out for emails or journals as those will be some of the first avenues I will be updating.
If you would like to help support Typhoon Manga while I am still quiet, I always appreciate and LOVE packaging up items to send to you from my online store. Something about sending stuff to you guys gets me giddy (weird huh?). Fun fact, I am going to be clearing out my old designs of pins, which is why they are currently on sale! So, once they are gone, they will no longer be available for purchase. So, if you are wanting a certain design, I suggest getting one soon~ I have also released a new playmat design (which I probably announced already but I can’t remember). This one is honestly one of my favorites and I’ve gotten complements IRL when I’ve brought it out to nerd events. If you like Blood Maid you should totally pick one up!
