This month there will be a lot of moving parts taking place, making it a rather lively and active spot to be apart of. Between the Typhoon Ball 2025 event, the streams and mini events that come with it, and the releases and drops in-between, there is a lot of fun to be had! So buckle up, because this month is just getting started and it's about to go real fast.
Collectible Card Booster Pack Releases Soon!
Before we get into the real meat of the month, I want to shine a light on some of the smaller things that will be happening so that they are noticed. First off, I want to remind everyone that the Collectible Card Set 2 is being dropped on February 28th 2025! This features a lot of awesome artwork that can be collected in standard and holographic formats which will inevitably look amazing once all put together. If you are looking forward to getting your hands on this set, be sure to pre-order while you can!
The YCH Club
Have you heard of the YCH Club? For the last two years, it has been active on DeviantArt and has been holding a steady membership rate! Recently I realized that quite a few people are no longer apart of DeviantArt or prefer not to do subscriptions through there and thought: ""Well shoot, why haven't I offered it on my website?" So... The YCH Club is now an option to subscribe to on the website! This will give everyone a chance to be apart of the club, even if they aren't within the DeviantArt community anymore. I plan on giving DeviantArt members access to the website portal if they have an account on the website, unfortunately I cannot work it the other way around as DeviantArt does not give those types of permissions to those offering subscriptions on their websites.
SO WHAT IS THE YCH CLUB; you might be wondering?
The YCH Club is a monthly subscription in which when you are an active member you will gain access to a vast array of an ever-growing YCH Pose bank to choose from when commissioning a Typhoon Manga YCH, Typhoon Manga YCH Event Exclusives (such as exclusive poses, outfits, backgrounds, etc.), an automatic 10% off all YCH purchases applied to your invoice, AND monthly vouchers delivered to your preferred email (currently I have been sending through DeviantArt but with the implementation of the website that will have to update). Not only do you get some awesome deals in the mix, but with bigger events you also get EARLY ACCESS when you are a member of the YCH Club along with various other perks that are revealed during event times.

While on the topic of YCH's, some of you know that I have updated the YCH form. Since last month I have been tinkering with the format with the YCH Form and I will continue to do so until we have reached a good flow with everything. With the up-coming event you will notice that there is a new section for clicking, which is the question of if you want your commission to be featured in a Twitch work stream. With the addition of this question I will soon be sending reservation times for people to choose from if they want to watch their commission being worked on live, so that they can choose the most convenient time I am streaming for them to make it. I know that not all of the times will be flexible for everyone, but I figured that this at least will let some be able to come and watch their commission be worked on for a little while!
Custom Commissions Close on February 28th 2025
With the event being in full swing by this point, Custom Commissions will be closing up again on February 28th 2025, so be sure to get your commissions in!
Commissioners Survey Implementation
For those of you who have recently commissioned a YCH will know, there is now a new Commissioners Survey that is being implemented! This new survey's goal is to collect information to better align Typhoon Manga with what it offers in the future. As a bonus for everyone who submits an entry to it, on the 15th of every month (that it is active of course) there will be a drawing from the pool of submissions and one entrant will win a $10 Typhoon Manga voucher that may be used on any TM purchase, be it a custom commission, YCH, or store purchase. In order to participate in the Commissioners Survey you must have had a commission (custom or YCH) completed within the last 30 days that is fully paid off, and it will usually be accompanied by a URL with the survey when you get your file sent to your email.
There are stipulations that do apply, which a page will be created soon to go over the finer details of those. But as for now, I am excited to be offering this and I am looking forward to hearing everyone's responses!
And without further ado... the moment you've all been wanting to read about!
The Typhoon Ball 2025
That's right! The Typhoon Ball 2025 event is finally drawing near with the event releasing on February 17th and going on until March 21st 2025. The YCH Club will have early access to this event beginning February 10th, which will grant them access to the main general event a week early with the event exclusives being released on the 17th. As usual, this event is the biggest event Typhoon Manga hosts, and this will be no exception.
This year's theme will be mixed with the Love Goddesses that haven't made an appearance since 2021 Airi and Miza! I figured with the timing of it all, it would be a perfect match to have a demi-god(dess) themed Ball~ I have been working hard to make this years' Ball extra ethereal and beautiful, so I hope you area all looking forward to it!
Due to me still working my part time job I will be implementing a weekly slot system for sequences while keeping portraits and group portraits open to unlimited entries. This'll allow me to manage the workflow effectively from what I've found doing the last couple slotted YCH's. The slots for sequences may only be done as flat or shade finishes, as the full service finish (while gorgeous) will take up too much time in a time-limited event. The amount of slots dropped will be announced closer to the time of release, however I will say that every drop will have one guaranteed VIP slot reserved for the week for YCH Club members only, so that they no matter what have a solid chance at getting a sequence for being apart of the club. (Another great reason to join ;D). The number of VIP Slots may also increase depending on the member count of the club for the duration of the event, but that is still undecided.
There will of course also be the beloved Typhoon Ball Bingo again, with daily numbers being released for the duration of the event (Feb 17th- Mar 21st). The prizes will range from event punch card points to vouchers that can be used with commissions~ Speaking of the Event Punch Card, that will be making a come back as well! The specifics will of course be released when the event releases, but when you are apart of the YCH Club you will be getting some additional punch points as a perk~ These punch cards can be used to get bonus perks like a % off your purchase, a Bust sketch, or even a pose voucher, which are all awesome rewards for partaking in an event. Of course though, in order to receive a punch card you must first purchase a YCH with the Typhoon Ball 2025 event.
Twitch work streams will also be scheduled closer to the events, in which (as mentioned earlier) commissioners can choose a time slot to have their commissions worked on live if they want to be there to watch! These are always fun to join in on and connect with the community while getting some artwork done. Since I will have to work around my part time schedule, there will be multiple smaller time slots within the stream so that I can work on a few different commissions within a given time period to give variety.
Then there is merch, which has been a pretty consistent thing for the last few years~ This year there will be a couple new items releasing, but since I am focusing more on the variety aspect there won't be too much. There will be the Typhoon Ball 2024 Collectible Card set releasing with a few Typhoon Ball 2025 collectibles coming along with it. Bundles will be available which are new, and I personally think are exciting! But other than that, merchandise is going to be kind of kept on the lower scale, especially with the introduction to the custom merchandise selection that is available on the new YCH Form.
For now, this is all I have for the month of February! Since the event will trickle into March there will be some updates into next months' blog as well. But the next big post will be when the Typhoon Ball 2025 event officially releases on February 17th 2025, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled~ I hope to see you all soon :D
